STARS FOR STRIPES PROVIDES ENTERTAINMENT FOR SALUTE AMERICA’S HEROES EVENT
 – ORLANDO, FLORIDA

Salute America’s Heroes, a foundation that helps the wounded soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan, and their families learn about healing, financial options, housing, support, etc., held a 4 day event in Orlando, Florida, December 8-11, 2004.

This was the 1st annual event which kicked off on Wednesday night with a “Welcome Party” for the over 150 soldiers and their immediate families.   During the day, the soldiers had the opportunity to attend seminars to learn about how to get help financially, learn about disability options, how to get affordable housing, and where to go to find others who are going through the same things.  They were even provided with tickets to the Disney parks to relax and enjoy themselves.  On Thursday night, the soldiers were treated to a dinner and entertainment by Ronan Tynan, Michael Israel, Lee Ann Womack and Toby Keith.  On Saturday night, there was a private event held at the House of Blues, specifically for the SAH event.  Country singer Chely Wright and the Lt. Dan Band (Gary Sinise) provided entertainment for the crowd of over 400.

Preparations are being made for SAH 2005 Event.  You can visit their website and sponsor a soldier at
